Lightware Announces Advanced Voice Tracking Solution for Seamless Hybrid Meetings

Providing users with a Premium, Customisable and Brand-independent Ecosystem for Automatic Room Control

July 17, 2024 - Lightware announces the availability of our advanced voice tracking solution, designed to revolutionise personal and hybrid meetings. Combining Lightware's award-winning AV technologies with best-in-class voice tracking capabilities, it provides users with a premium, customisable and brand-independent ecosystem for automatic and invisible room control.

Lightware's voice tracking solution offers a comprehensive range of features designed to enhance the hybrid meeting experience. At its core, the system promotes meeting equity by creating an environment where remote participants feel as if they are physically present, facilitating natural dialogue between attendees regardless of their location.

In addition, intelligent tracking capabilities allow the system to be customised to follow presenters or focus on specific participants. These capabilities are particularly valuable in environments such as classrooms, conference rooms and remote collaboration setups, where clear and dynamic communication is critical.

The system guards against rapid alternation of camera angles, such as when two participants engage in an intense or quickfire debate. In such situations, it frames the entire space, allowing a full view of the meeting room – a feature that also activates when no one is speaking.

A fixed camera capable of covering the full space displays the entire room, while Pan/Tilt/Zoom (PTZ) cameras focus on specific individuals. Currently, the system operates with cameras using the VISCA protocol, but Lightware also plans to enable compatibility with cameras utilising the UVC and E-PTZ protocols in the future.

The solution has been developed in partnership with Sennheiser and Yamaha, whose microphone technologies help deliver a high-quality, immersive and fully integrated audio experience.

"The availability of Lightware Voice Tracking represents a significant step forward for organisations seeking to optimise hybrid meeting experiences,” said Gergely Vida - CEO of Lightware. "It also underlines our ongoing commitment to bring innovative new technologies to market that meet the needs of our customers in evolving workplace environments. We look forward to helping users make the best use of their meeting time, wherever they are located.” Vida Gergely
